Commenting on My parents' dog which had been missing was found

tcr! tcr! · Oct 8, 2015 at 3:23 pm

Yep, completely turd true story on my end. Some shit is just to fantastic to make up.

I call everyone out on lies here at work, call them out on when they didn’t do something they said they were gonna do, call them out when something breaks that is their fault.

I don’t win many friends but “it’s more uncomfortable letting her go on” ;)

IS THIS REAL?! I work with axxholes like this, and pathological liars, but my true stories from the workplace always sound so unbelievable I’m slow to share ‘em. If this is real I can match it, 10 x over and above.

For example, I sit beside a woman, approx 50 y.o. and she has stories like the above. Her stories sound like the little kid in grade school who you had to roll your eyes about because it was just pathetic. She’s been working overtime for 2 and half years due to god knows what the real reason is, but it boils down to her choice. She wants the money or she wants to be away from home or fill-in-the-blank. She TELLS us that she is being forced to work like that. That the boss makes her. No truth in it, easy to prove etc, but it’s important for her to tell it the way she does.

It’s a sensitive issue for me, pathological liars, and I seem to run across ‘em in droves. How can adults behave this way? More important is why do I/we let ‘em?

Now I’m started and can’t stop. Friday morning the boss was telling us all something about shift changes. It concerns all of us. At my urging, the meeting was public, ie: everybody present. The woman who lies about her work schedule started to leave the room. I called her back, saying, “L—-, this concerns you too!” She dreads everyone being in the room at the same time the official story is told, because it trips up so many of her lies. I really don’t relish shaming her, and in fact it’s uncomfortable for me, but it’s more uncomfortable letting her go on with tall tales that are really big fat lies.

Like I said, sensitive issue for me.

saw the warriors the first time as it was meant to be: at the drive in, with my buddies, smokin’ and drinkin’. the baseball furries were the coolest colors though, by far.

“somewhere out on that horizon…”

yeah the heavens have been heavenly of late. the weather is soulful too. i also want to express my strongest elbows and cows for the picture of your cat on the left hand side. doggies are just ‘bout prerequisite.
duke ellington and coleman hawkins are playing “ray charles place” on the jazzz channel, and life is almost as good as one of the farts that you get to enjoy privately, just bursting with pride knowing that if someone would wander onto the set, they’d puke. :)

Commenting on MadMax: Fury Road on the TV

Jimi, I now feel the excitement you expressed over the movie and see that my initial skepticism was wrong.

It’s been on my mind since I watched it and I just watched the trailer again.

This is a gorgeous piece of cinematography. Gorgeous in every way.

This movie isn’t that great. The only thing good is the music and that’s recycled from the original.
